Meet the Orthodontist

Dr. Robert Gire earned his Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology, Zoology, and Physiology from the University of Wyoming. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. While attending, he received the illustrious Everett Payne Scholar award from Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honorary dental society. He also received the Pierre Fauchard Academy award for excellence in didactic and clinical performance. Dr. Gire graduated in the top 5% of his class and was accepted into the prestigious United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.

While at the Academy, Dr. Gire provided all aspects of dental care to Cadets, Retirees, Active Duty members, and their families. After completing his advanced training at the Academy, Dr. Gire proceeded to serve his country and fellow servicemen as an Air Force officer (Captain) and General Dentist at Osan Air Force Base, South Korea. He then returned to the United States and was stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA, where he worked for two years as a General Dentist. For his hard work and dedication to his patients, he earned the honor of becoming the Senior Company Grade Officer of the Quarter, as well as Dental Performer of the Quarter various times. During this time, Dr. Gire also worked as an Associate Dentist in a private practice in Los Angeles.

Dr. Gire then returned to the Rocky Mountains and attended the University of Colorado, School of Dentistry for his Orthodontic specialty training. Since graduation, he has been creating spectacular smiles by utilizing the most recent technological advancements and clinical techniques available. Dr. Gire is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor enjoyed by less than 25% of all orthodontists in the United States. He is also a member of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists.

Dr. Gire provides an in-depth, personalized encounter at the free initial consultation and at all periodic orthodontic visits. Dr. Gire strongly believes in not removing teeth when personalizing your smile and bite. He works with each individual to come up with alternatives to extraction therapy without compromising health, comfort, and future stability.
